These terms apply to all tutoring services provided by BrightBridge Tutoring. By enrolling your child in a class, you agree to these terms.
Fees and payment
- Lessons cost A$30 per student per 60-minute lesson.
- New students may attend one first lesson for A$30 without committing to a four-lesson block, subject to a suitable class being available.
- If the student continues after the first lesson, future lessons are paid in advance in blocks of four lessons, for a total of A$120.
- Payment is made by PayID or bank transfer. Details are provided privately after a class is confirmed. Payment details are not displayed publicly.
- A student's place in a class is confirmed only once the required payment is received.
- There is no automatic recurring payment. After each four-lesson block, the parent chooses whether to purchase another block.
Classes
- Classes contain 3–6 students.
- Classes may require a minimum of 3 students to run.
- Lessons are conducted online through Google Meet.
- Class times and tutors may occasionally change. We will notify parents of any timetable changes in advance where possible.
- Where reasonably necessary, a substitute tutor may be provided.
Tutor age and Working with Children Checks
As at 1 October 2026, all BrightBridge tutors are under 18 years of age. In NSW, people under 18 are exempt from the requirement to hold a Working with Children Check (WWCC). Our current tutors therefore rely on this age-based exemption; this is not a WWCC clearance.
The under-18 exemption ends when a tutor turns 18. Any tutor continuing in child-related work must then meet the applicable WWCC requirements unless another lawful exemption applies. This statement relates to NSW and does not remove any other applicable child-safety obligations.
See the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian guidance.
Parent referral program
When an existing BrightBridge family refers a new family and that family purchases its first four-lesson block for A$120, the referring family receives one complimentary 60-minute group lesson worth A$30 for their child.
The new family should select “Family / parent referral” on the enquiry form and enter the referring parent or family’s name so we can attribute the referral. Please contact us if a referral was omitted or entered incorrectly.
The reward is issued after payment for the qualifying block is received. It is one lesson credit per new family referred, applied to a future lesson, and is not a cash payment. A standalone A$30 first lesson does not qualify for the reward.
Business affiliate program
Participating businesses receive a commission of 5% of the lesson fees actually paid to BrightBridge by students they refer, for as long as those students continue taking paid lessons with us. Commission is based on paid lessons, not enquiries or unpaid bookings, and excludes refunded payments.
Businesses must contact BrightBridge to join the program. Families should select “Business / company referral” and enter the business name on the enquiry form. We confirm referral attribution and payment arrangements with each participating business. There is no guaranteed income; earnings depend on referred students purchasing lessons.
Missed lessons and cancellations
- Because each student's place is reserved in a small group class, missed lessons are normally non-refundable and non-creditable if a student is unable to attend. This also applies to a confirmed first lesson.
- Where at least 12 hours' notice is provided, BrightBridge may, at its discretion, offer the student a place in another suitable class if space is available.
- If BrightBridge cancels a lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled, or the parent will receive a credit or refund.
- Once a four-lesson block has commenced, unused lessons are normally non-refundable if a student voluntarily withdraws, because the student's place has been reserved in the small group.
Student behaviour
- Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors and other students during lessons.
- BrightBridge may remove a student from a class for serious or repeated misconduct.
- Students must not record or redistribute lessons without permission.
Learning materials
Learning materials provided to students are for the student's personal educational use only and must not be redistributed.
